The MT600G with GPS is a 406 MHz digital EPIRB that have been developed through years of experience gained from previous MT406 models. The end result provides improved and updated design features including 10 year battery life, built-in 121.5mMHz homing transmitter, ultra high performance solid state strobe light and advanced test functionality with red and green indicators to highlight the test status.
The MT600G incorporates a 66 channel GSP receiver for fast, accurate, position identification utilising a quality flexible quad helix antenna. Additional to the standard self test function the MT600G provides the user with a comprehensive advanced GPS acquisition test function. This operation includes testing the internal GPS circuitry for performance to ensure that the GPS location fix is operating to specifications. (Limited to once per year).
The MT600G units will continue to provide outstanding world-wide coverage with position location accuracy to within 100 metres. The stable transmitted signal results in faster response time which can mean the difference between life and death. Each unit features a unique digitally coded message to provide Search and Rescue authorities with vital information including the country of beacon registration and identification of the vessel in distress.
